The Ring Magazine has released its new light ranking lists, and they have some questionable selection in the top 10 list that are not based on reality. The king of lightweight, Gervonta Davis, is number 1, which makes sense.
Keyshawn: Really #2?
From this point the list is twisted with the Old tomato can destroy Keyshawn Davis at #2. In view of the fact that he has never fought against someone and will not compete with his four -time conqueror Andy Cruz, he should not be near the upper place.
The Ring Top 10 list has left out the talents of Lamont Roach And Abdullah MasonWhat is bizarre. How can these two not be on the list? In addition, some fighters do not belong on the list: Sam Noakes and Frank Martin. These are low-level fighter in my book.
The 135-pound champion Vasily Lomachenko was started from the list due to a year of inactivity, and this is a questionable step. In this climate, as a fighter was taken away for a year and blessed with mega money fights against Canelo Alvarez, it shouldn’t be a big deal that Lomachenko has been out of operation for 12 months.
The latest ring magazine Top 10 list
- Gervonta davis
- Keyshawn Davis
- Shakur Stevenson
- William Zepeda
- Raymond Muratalla
- Andy Cruz
- Frank Martin
- Denys Berinchyk
- Tevin Farmer
- Sam Noakes
This list must be remedied. For the beginning, Keyshawn has to be pushed down to the list because he never fought someone well, and he refuses to face the talented Olympic gold medalist 2020, Andy Cruz. Instead of being in second place, he should be on #9 near his floor, based on his refusal to fight against Cruz and his weak curriculum vitae. Note: Keyshawn was almost knocked out by the second fighter Naahr Albright. Since then he has not fought a living body since then.
WBC Lightweight Champion Shakur Stevenson Should not be classified on place #3 because it has not been fought against someone as Edwin de Los Santos since he switched to the 135 pound division in 2023.
Shakurs bad representation against de los Santos, running 12 rounds, is reason enough that he is not on number 3. Stevenson’s only other lightweight victories have won over a gentle opposition with victories over them Three cans: Shuichiro Yoshino, Artem Harutyunyan and Josh Padley, also known as an electrician.
Frank Martin does not deserve to be on the top 10 list in the way he was defeated by Panzer Davis and his struggle for Artem Harutyunyan. Martin too slow and muscular to stand on the top 10 list.
The firm rank: better?
- Gervonta davis
- Andy Cruz
- Abdullah Mason
- William Zepeda
- Raymond Muratalla
- Lamont Roach
- Tevin Farmer
- Floyd Schofield
- Keyshawn Davis
- Shakur Stevenson
