The map on July 12, which was led by Edgar Berlanga against Hamzah Sheeraz, was staged in the Louis Armstrong Stadium with 14,000 seats in Queens, New York. It would be a strange place for a boxing event. This is in the National Tennis Center.

Louis Armstrong Stadium

Dan Rafael reports that there will be a “good chance” that the venue will be the Louis Armstrong Stadium. However, it is still not official.

The landscape of the Louis Armstrong Stadium is not much better than that of the Barclay Center or the Madison Square Garden. If the idea is to impress the fans, it won’t do much to place them in this place.

July 12th event

– Edgar Berlanga against Hamzah Sheeraz – Headliner
-Shakur Stevenson against William Zepeda-Co-feature
– Alberto Puello against Subriel Matias
– David Morrell against Imam Khataev

The fans are still upset that Berlanga (23-1, 18 Kos) is in the main event against Hamzah Sheeraz (21-0-1, 17 Kos). You believe that the WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson’s title defense against the popular William Zepeda (33: 0, 27 Kos) should be the main event on this card.

Stevenson (23-0, 11 Kos) holds a world championship title and has recorded world championship titles in three divisions. Berlanga has never won a world championship title and was almost excluded on September 14 of last year in his title challenge against the Unified Super -Middleweight -Champion Canelo Alvarez. On February 22, Sheeraz has controversial WBC against the WBC Middle weight, Carlos Adames, controversial against the WBC middle weight champion. Many box fans felt that Sheeraz lost this fight, but he was given a draw.

Central Park dreams

It was rumored that the event in Central Park was staged in New York. In view of the regulations and permits that are necessary to stage a large exterior event in the park, this would be a difficult task. There would also be problems with the environmental impact. This large Green Park environment is not designed for a huge amount for a boxing event.
