Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis’ promoter Eddie Hearn announced today that he is negotiated for a fight between Ennis and Teofimo Lopez in August in Saudi Arabia. Hearn says it is somewhat earlier than IBF and WBO World Heritage Champion boots Ennis (34: 0, 30 Kos) to return to the ring. The 27 -year -old Ennis expected to fight in September or October next September or October.
“We are in negotiations on Jaron to fight Teofimo and they heard his excellence [Turki Alalshikh]. He said it there, ”said Eddie Hearn promoter Fighter plane On conversations between Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis and Teofimo Lopez for a fight. “These are the last 48 hours. So Jaron has shaken.”
Undisputed quest on ice?
If Ennis takes this fight, he will delay it to grasp all the belts at 147. However, Hearn will probably have problems negotiating a contract with the WBO champion Brian Norman Jr. without investing in Ennis.
“There is a date in August that we could take a look at Saudi Arabia, but we didn’t really expect to fight in August,” said Hearn. “We expected to fight in September or October. We have an mandatory challenger in Shakhram Giyasov, who took aside for the Stanionis fight. But I think a conversation has to be held there [for another step aside]. “”
It looks as if the WBA migrator of boots is running around again and he is crouched a second time. I just wonder if Ennis will pass this dangerous fighter further until he has reached his goal of becoming the undisputed champion at 147. That would be pathetic if Jaron deals with his mandatory obligations until he has fulfilled his dream of collecting all four belts.
It clouds the performance when a fighter is undisputed by avoiding his hard mandatory challengers. How do you give you recognition and know that you are repeatedly handling you? Should there be an asterisk in the Ennis boots’ in the record books to record the undisputed title at 147? Does Enni’s help need so bad so that it is undisputed?
If one or two months earlier are too early to return Ennis to the ring, it doesn’t say much about its hardness. If he wants to be compared to the sizes, he must be ready to fight earlier than expected when there are big fights.
The big size advantage of the boots
“I have a call to Jaron and Bozy in about an hour to see if we want to do that. I will say that there is a conversation for 47/54. It is inevitably the step [ to junior middleweight]But I have the feeling that the fight of Teofimo is a big fight. I believe that it is a great option for him. I honestly think he’s [Boots Ennis] Too big and too good. I rate TEOFIMO, ”said Hearn.
It is a good payday for Ennis who fights Lopez and he would have a big advantage against him. The fight would basically go back to a junior in the middleweight that fights against a light world weight. Boots should now fight around 154 instead of moving against smaller prey in the barren, talentless 147 pound division.
Teofimo is small even for the 140 pound division and it will probably give away more than 20 LBS against Ennis in the fight. This is great for Ennis, but not ideal for fans who buy the event who thinks they would see a competition battle. We speak of a fighter in Lopez who lost to George Kambosos, who should have defeated Sandor Martin and Jamaine Ortiz in his record.
“When we did this here, Teofimo went into the moisture for about six or eight hours, and he was about £ 146. Barboza was about 157. I don’t think he’s a big 140, Teo. Or 160,” said Hearn and sounded as if he were going overboard with his glazing.
Boots: acknowledge his fear?
When Ennis was so good, as Hearn thinks, why did he refuse a career high number day with rumored 8 million dollar sliccers to in the benefit of a smaller Paydays on February 22nd in Riyadh, which for his career against Eimantas Stanionis? The fans saw this as a classic duck movement.
There is nothing wrong that Ennis has false self -confidence after what he did in his collision against Karen Chukhadzhian in Philadelphia. But Hearn has to admit that Jaron has shown with this step that he doesn’t believe enough in himself to fight with 154, and he will definitely not fight with 160. Hearn has to lay down the pipe and slowly go away.
